Resident Reviews

submitted by Andrew F. - |Recommended: YesIt's simple and it works but it's not ideal. — If you have good roommates and don't mind thin walls, this place is good for you. The price is decent but it's in no way glamorous. Furniture is a little cheap and the carpets are not great. Perfect for grad students or young professional who don't intend to call State College their home long-term.
submitted by Jessica S. - |Recommended: YesVery nice, comfortable, and beautiful — It's not at all loud and it's a convenient location near Walmart and Sheetz . There's always parking availability, there's a free bus, and it's only 8-10 minutes driving distance from campus The inside of the apartment is very nice and new and the club house is very nice as well
response from property -Thanks so much! We love our location and the great view of the stadium! Come see is in October for the "Don't Dessert Us" event. Lots of tasty treats :)
submitted by Ryan L. - |Recommended: YesA nice option for grad students — Its pretty quiet, low cost, furnished with nice furniture, overall pretty good spot.
response from property -Thanks so much for the review! :)
submitted by Kimberly B. - |Recommended: YesA nice quiet place for grad students young professionals — I've enjoyed living at the Villas so far, and would recommend them to other graduate students young professionals looking for a safe and quiet place to live. It would also be nice for studious undergraduates. If you're looking for a party place, you're probably going to want to look elsewhere as the grounds are very calm. I personally enjoy the distance of the property from the PSU campus. It's only about a 7 minute drive, but is far enough out that you don't have to deal with the campus downtown business. The only thin I would say is that if you don't plan to bring a car or have consistent rides, I've known people who found it difficult to get around with the hour and a half CATA ride. As for the houses themselves, they're really nice. New, clean, and minimalist. The only thing to keep in mind is that WITHIN the apartment sound carries easily. Between units this isn't a problem, but if you get stuck with a noisy housemate you'll be hearing a lot of them. The kitchen is a really nice size. The bedrooms are cozy not wildly spacious but not TOO small either, plus you can't beat each bedroom having an attached bathroom. We've never had an issue running out of hot water or anything, even if two people are showering at the same time. I think the most attractive thing about living at the Villas is the price for what you're getting. Rent and the electric bill are reasonable, and I know people who are paying a lot more money to live in much less nice apartments. I moved into the Villas as a first year PhD student intending to move out into a single apartment once I felt more comfortable in State College, but I've decided to stick around since it's a nice place
response from property -Thank you so much for your review! We love The Villas community living style, and when we get feedback like this it shows. We are surprised to hear about such long bus rides for some trips. We'll be sure to follow up with CATA to ensure bus rides are taking no longer than the average of 20-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Thanks again for the great feedback :)

submitted by Avery D. - |Recommended: YesGreat property and layout — Ten minutes from the campus parking lot, huge backyard, spacious inside the townhouse. The yard was ideal because I have a dog, and the staff was great about welcoming a large black lab ESA onto their property. Bathrooms connected to the bedroom is a huge plus, and the kitchen and living room have more than enough space. Best price you will find and great homes overall.
response from property -Thank you so much for your great review, Avery! We are so happy to provide a welcoming community, and it shows :)

submitted by Cassidy S. - |Recommended: YesVery Nice — I would definitely recommend it to someone. I really like the homie feel it gives and it is very private. I really like being able to have my own room and bathroom, and the kitchen helps to make eating healthier a lot easier. It is very roomy in the kitchen with the pantry and all the cabinets. Despite the little commute to campus I really like living here.
response from property -We love our residents, and we love our community! Thank you so much for your kind words :)
submitted by June T. - |Recommended: YesClean, quiet, accessible 3 bed 3.5 bathroom, furnished, well priced — It's a trek to get to campus, but worth it if you like quiet and having your own space. It's close to a number of food and shopping areas.
response from property -Thank you so much for the warm words, June! We love delivering our our promise of a community at The Villas.
